Enjoying Iranian bread in Slovakia.

Hey readers! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! I started Gobsmacked in May 2016, a few days after graduating from  Ithaca College with a writing degree. Once I received my diploma and napped in a hammock as old as time, the uncertain future seemed less terrifying and all the more opportune. Since then, I’ve done my best to sift through the unknown with prose, purpose, and of course photos (I call the really blurry ones “avante garde”). I’m currently living and working in Bratislava, Slovakia as a copy editor for The Slovak Spectator, an English-language newspaper.

As you can imagine, I always have a lot to write about 🙂

I met an incredibly happy Romanian just after this blog was conceived who said we should always do what makes our “happy box” (aka soul) happy. Well, with this blog by my side, I’m on the global hunt for what fills my happy box and would love some virtual company. So, if you’re interested in my story, click the follow button!

I love connecting with new people and new stories so please feel free to send me an email at afay3297@gmail.com. Thanks a million for reading!

Cheers!!!
